Our 1st Birthday!
I woke up a couple days ago to an email saying that it was time to renew my annual business registration for Sanguine. It hit me that Sanguine is one year old. That is absolutely insane. This time last year, we were just messing around with what we thought would be something cool. We didn't know that we would make it to relegations in the summer, SPL in the fall, Super Regionals in the winter, and back to relegations in the spring. It has been a roller coaster.
What I have learned this past year is some parts of sticking to your guns, and other parts listening to your peers. Some opportunities better than others. A few of those opportunities were taken and others pushed aside. To those who I refused, I'm sorry. Because of Sanguine, I have had the ability to meet some of the greatest and most forward thinking minds in esports. Rick Fox, Steve Arhancet, Noah Winston, as well as spoken with professionals from the collegiate and traditional sports scene. All of this is incredible and even just a year ago I couldn't even imagine having done that much.
Though we didn't do as much as I would have liked, all the skills and knowledge that our team has gained will be put to use in 2017 whether it be in Sanguine, or other projects. I am very excited for what the future will hold! Shout outs to Logitech and Twitch for partnering with us. It is great to have 2 experienced companies to work with and grow from. Besides that, Sanguine very well may be partnering with the collegiate scene, but details to come later for that.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who is currently, or has worked with Sanguine. Players and staff alike. I have also made some great friends because of this. Going back to the Fall, Andreas, Kenny, Nika, Mohaned, and Daniele thank you for trusting us for the split. You guys did great and have great things to accomplish. To the 2017, Fisher, Stefan, Willem, Dirg, Baas, Alexi, thanks for what you guys did and some are continuing to do.
Even though we did get relegated, we aren't done. It's literally in the name. Positive in a difficult situation. You better believe a comeback is happening.
Oh also I'm pretty proud that #SangWIN became a meme. I'm pretty shit at memes, so I'll call it one of our few wins.
